Finding “Lost”: A Question of Answers and A Lesson In Faith

I blame the Internet.
Used to be, a series would quietly come to an end and there were no expectations.  The characters would wrap up their lives, the screen would fade to black, we’d take a collective sigh and go on, looking for the next show to capture our interest and make us care.  Oh sure, [...]

Plus, I’ll admit the “Sixth Sense-ish” (and self-congratulatory) cross-cutting of the closing of this week’s final scene (“Across [...]

Affirmation, Annointment, and Maybe Some Geek Pants-Wetting?

Variety says it’s official, and a teaser trailer tonight at midnight will prove it.  A generational torch (or, ring of power) is to be passed as Steven “Gandalf” Spielberg will produce the next writer/directorial effort from J.J. “Frodo” Abrams.
Behold the mystery of “Super 8“!!

TV Series: The Last popGeezer Hall of Fame Category Close-Up

The second of the popGeezer Hall of Fame finalist categories is Television Series.  Two programs from the 1960’s go up against four of the most “post-modern” dramas imaginable.  What connects all of them is the indelible imprint of their creator(s) on the entire run of each show, the quality of the writing on each, the [...]

“The Pattern” Goes Blu-Ray on September 8th

“Fringe” arrives on home video on September 8th, which potentially also could be the second season premier date.
